Storage and planning considerations discussed.
There are many configurations for gain and fertiliser sheds, depending on the size of your operation. Grain sheds are designed and engineered specifically to the holding capacity of the product or material being stored. Planning should be strategic to allow for possible expansion of facilities which may be required in the future. Some of the planning considerations we discuss with you are:
- Type of product that needs to be stored
- In-load and out-load considerations
- Longevity or length of time of storage
- Configurations – open front / concrete panel walls
- Segregation walls and options requirement
- Loading and unloading facilities and logistics
- Roof pitch for optimal volume of storage
- Added features for weather protection
- Ventilation requirements
Standardised features.
Careful planning of standard and custom features should be considered to ensure full protection of materials stored to ensure that your product is free from contamination and infestation of pests and rodents.
- Engineered specifically for maximum product storage capacity
- Concrete panels for enhanced protection and strength/ extra reinforcement
- Heavy-duty steel flashings to minimise
- High-capacity gutters for rainwater catchment harvesting and runoff
- Roof pitch designs for maximum holding capacity
- Maximum loading and unloading for easy accessibility
- Internal walls & compartment bunkers for product separation
- Sliding door outriggers for wider openings
- Appropriate loading & out-loading openings and stack heights
