The Challenge

Sheep Farmers Murray & Lorraine Davis sought new holding yards and shelter for their livestock in Dergholm, Victoria. They wanted a tough quality enclosure with open span to withstand the harsh country conditions and provide a robust working environment to keep their staff and livestock cooler in summer and drier in winter. Hot dipped galvanising was critical to the build with a vew to longevity in corrosive conditions.

The Solution

Spanlift designed and engineered a unique curved roof structure that was fully hot dip galvanised for superior protection. The curved roof design maximises air flow throughout the building, minimising noise levels and controlling ammonia levels. The 30 x 24 x 3.5m shelter deliveres optimal working conditions in a challenging environment. The finished product was constructed and fully hot dip galvanised off-site in 7 weeks and fully erected on-site in just 7 days.

“Spanlift helped us with everything. So kind and helpful, couldn’t speak more highly of them. Their designs, their workmanship, the quality – everything in it is just excellent!” Murray & Lorraine Davis – Dergholm, VIC
